Reappearing after soon long!

Well, well, after disappearing since Oct 08, I am back in action again in the New Year 2009.
Too many things to update, but i will cut short and put them in point forms.

Jan - School starts, Taekwondo friendly sparring match in Singapore Poly, Chinese New year

Macritchie Trip

The macritchie reservoir, a familiar place for me, but i have not been there for 5 to 6 years. Going back there reminds me of my childhood. My parents used to bring my 2 younger siblings and i there on a frequent basis, but the older we got, the lesser time we get to spend together as a family. I understand that is part of growing up, yet family bonds are very important. People may said i have a traditional mind if i comment something like family ties. But what i understand from the 25 years of my life, blood is thicker than water. I know my family is there for me wherever and whatever i am and i will be. I never expect myself to write such things when i decide to record this trip, but i guess i am getting old and understand the importance of family.

Anyway back to my trip, i drove there with Edner in my car. With unfamiliar roads, we made a total of 3 trips around and around the area for the entrance of the car park and eventually we did made our way in.

Well, we were walking, i suddenly remember macritchie reservoir was a very old water catchment area. A Japanese Shrine was once built in macritchie. Even though the structure is no longer there, its existence is still visible today. I remember watch a Singapore show "Hey, Singapore" where the host, Lisa Ang bring the viewers all around Singapore to hunt for mysterious places and events that happened.

Walking towards the bridge, i could not help it and looked over the side to locate any fishes and tortoises in the water. To my surprise there are none, but the inner i walked i manages to spot 5 to 6 hugh tortoises swimming in the green water. The walk continued. Walking through muddy roads and wooden pathway, there were many interesting things to see. Types of trees and plants, schools of big fishes in the water, monkeys swinging around the branches.

Just as we were about to head back, we decide to take a sit on the wooden bench while enjoying our sight seeing of some monkeys. But the longer we stayed, the more monkeys started to appear. Not long there was even baby monkeys with their mothers walking beside us. Even though they look cute, they are still creatures of the wild and certain safety measures must be taken in order to protect not only ourselves but the monkeys too. With the monkeys getting to use with human existance, they are more daring to snatch food from us. Well, 1 male monkey did that. He tried to snatch my water bottle from me while i was holding on to it. With his 2 small hands, he grabbed the bottles, but instead of threatening the monkey, i just rise the bottle up so that he will lose his grip on the plastic surface. Interesting trip with interesting incident. Now driving home should not be a problem. (LOL)

Kelvin's Wedding 14 Sep 2008

Finally the day came. It is the day Mr Kelvin Chan Wei Guang is going to marry his dream girl, Ms Yu YuMei. Well after being his buddy for the past 9 years, he is the first among my brothers to get married. I salute to your courage LOL. At least he found someone who can spent his entire life with. That is the most wonderful blessing in life.

The day start early on the 14th of September 2008. I woke up at 5.30am so that I could washed up and reached his place by 6am. Driving my car with my black suit at the booth, i reached my destination carefully. Upon reaching his place, i could already sense the wedding mood at his parking lot as i saw quite a few of my friends' car there, but the only thing that is left out was the ribbons and flowers decorations at the side of the car.

Making my way up his apartment, the door was wide open. Shoes were stacked everywhere, noises was coming out for the kitchen with busy foot steps and multiple movements everywhere. I went in to helped out Felicia in the kitchen with her ribbons and flower. The 1.9 metre to 2 metres tall Jerry was there. Everyone was towered by his height LOL. To add on to chaos, i found out that i have mistakenly took the wrong phone. My brother and i used the same phone model and i had never mistaken it for the past 1 and a half year until now.

Daniel and me rushed back with my rushing speedy driving technique, well some safety features are still keep in mind to order not to end up in an accident again.

Finally, i managed to return back on time. Next we were soon on our way to the bride's place in Simei. Anyway, upon reaching, all the guys were like so lost and Kelvin's sister, Felicia too the chance to enter the bride's place and locked us out. Well we cannot do anything but to play along with the groom. Bargaining with the bride's bridemaids, and threatening to leave the place without the bride. Shouting from the 1st storey and so on.

It wasn't long when we are back at Kelvin's Place for his tea ceremony with his bride. All the aunts and uncles, his mum and grandma.

And the ceremony for the morning ended with a buffet.

The dinner started late but everyone was happy at this joyous event. I was the host of the day with a girl call, Xiao Yan. The perfect match of Black and White LOL.

Well, some of our secondary school friends turn up for the dinner. Some of them are even my primary school friends. I have to admit i m really getting old.

The Very White Bling Bling Party

SIM-RMIT FTSC held a BASH party at Zouk at 7.30pm on a Saturday of the 6th of September 2008. Well that was the day of my buddy's wedding solemnisation. (I will go onto that once i got the photos from him LOL)

Anyway, i arrived late that day. Initially, i never intend to attend it as i am not feeling well due to my gastric problem. But a few of them SMS me until i have to give "face" to them . There was Ricky, Pearlyn, Kevin, Joelle and some others. I reached the place at 9pm under heavy rain from my place to Zouk and manage to get in without any queueing problem.

The second reason for me not to miss the party was the Pageant. Well, i made the slides therefore i wanted to see my masterpiece during the actual event. It is not the place i am keen about. it is the company with my OG members which drove me to Zouk.

On the 15th of Aug 2008, we carried out the Bash Advertisement filming at Ngee Ann Polytechnic. Zhi Cao is our director for the day. The set was nothing but an elevator at 3rd storey. it was an interesting shooting as we have to dance over and over again in that stuffy in little box known as the lift. LOL anyway the filming was a success. Great job to everyone!!

Jason Boon's Birthday

Well, 12th of aug, the birthday of our Paya Lebar Airbase, Dog Section "Sister" Jason Boon. YiZhong, Loke, Albert and me had our dinner with Jason first. When we are about to end our day, Abel dropped by and had a nice chat with the guys that day. It was a mini reunion with the guys from Dog section. We really enjoyed ourselves that day. Great to see you guys!

Sand Fortess in East Coast Park

At the begining we are trying to create a sand castle but as we digged deeper and deeper, we are wondering it is alright to dig even deeper to house water in the hole. And that started off the digging of the water hole.

As the hole gets deeper, the tide rose at the same time. In order to save our water hole, we try to built a water barrier to defend against the water waves.

Today was the Opening of BeiJing Olympics 2008. But instead of staying at home, our TYCO orientation group have an outing.

Dinner at Holland Village. XO bee hoon fish head soup and some side dishes. After dinner we had a drink nearby.

Meet Up With an Old Friend

The first time I met her was in 2003. She was studying in my secondary school. Well she is my junior which i never get to see. The reason was i had graduated (1999) when she came into the school. Maybe it is fate that brought us together.

I could still remember the day i know her with a few others. The very first time i know her was back in the beginning of 2003, where we had a BBQ event at a comic shop which we used to hang out.

The 2nd time was in november. I could still remember it was raining quite heavily as i sent her home under an umbrella LOL. The weirdest thing was, i liked her during that time.

Well the story goes into courtship and stuffs. But all came to a stop when she told me she had patched back with her ex-boyfriend. I was quite shocked when i received the news but what can i do during that time. I accepted defeat even before the "war" begins. What A Loser i was back then!

Anyway, recently i got to meet her up and try to catch up on old times. Its a great feeling to chat with old friends again.

SIM Orientation

T! Y! C! O!... .... SuperMan! Man! Man! SpiderMan!! SpiderMan! Man! Man! Bat Man!... ... TYCO!! And that is my group name for the day.

Initailly, i thought it is going to be an ordinary day as i am alone throughout the whole event. But luckily i made new friends with these 2 wonderful ladies, Xin Fang and Tse Ruey. But the new friends does not stopped here. With the help of our Student Leader Gary, Yee Leng and Angeline, i manage to meet more wonderful and great people in my group.

Everyone was sporty and united throughout the whole session. i remembered the blindfold spider maze, X sloution cooking lab (Coke + Egg Plant + soya Sauce = Tyco X solution... i drank the whole cup), Leading a blind driver, Snatch a Bone, Forming a line on a bridge, 4 times 4 challenges (Xin Fang had water all over my t-shirt) and Water War (The Guys are great, Gabriel - Team Commander, Hazwan -Sharp Shooter, Danny - Avenger, Wei Cheng - Slient Killer and me, Vince - Maniac Gunner... i am the only one who finished all my water in less than a minute LOL).

In the evening, there was a Drag Queen competition... and guess what? I am the DRAG QUEEN!! LOL. That was the the ultimate sacrifice. i destroyed my Image even before the school starts, but everything is worth it for my group. One for All, All for one!

I am looking forward to know these great people when school starts on the 4th of August 2008. Vince here signing off.

New life, new problems!

My new life as a student will commence in 2 weeks time. I am quite excited about school life since i have graduated from Temasek Polytechnic back in 2004. After serving 2 years National Service in the Republic of Singapore Air Force, Military Dog Unit and a year and a half of teaching I.T. in Bedok North Secondary School, it is finally time to take a break from the working world and go back to school to get my degree in SIM RMIT Economics and Finance. I wonder what life will be as I will be one of the oldest student around ( Well, i am not really bother by that).

Anyway, taking full-time studying means that my income sources is being cut off. I am not the kind that would ask money from my parents, therefore finding alternate source of income is 1 of my top priority at the moment.

Currently, i am looking into Online Marketing/Internet Marketing as my part-time money making activities. As you may know, the learning curves of something new is always the hardest. Starting with no knowledge or doubting my ability to achieve something out of it. The Web is Vast and global, everything is possible in terms of good and bad. Therefore, i am quite lost. But luckily i managed to find a seminar by Stuart Tan on Online/Internet marketing...

This is the first time, i even tried posting a personal blog. I maybe a noob, but things always start from somewhere.

Today starts my jobless life. After working for 1 and a half year in a secondary school, i am finally jobless. The fact is, i have resigned from my current company due to some financial conflict. The best thing was, i leave at the correct time, as my company is dissolving soon within this year.

Working there brings me a lot of vaulable memories, good and bad. i met new friends there, learned a lot of new things, understand office politics (No Kidding, politics between the teachers in school too) and i met my girl there. But all good things will come to an end. Resigning means, i will not be ablt to meet up with my friends more often, i could not longer learn new things in school. As for politics, i am glad i am out of the "firing" line. And lastly for my girl, we broke off. Initially it was too sudden and she hates me very much for somehting i have done to her (secret), but eventually i put on the courage to send her greetings messages to break the hatred and turn it into friendship. And I feel so good about it.

Life is great! Everything is slowly going back in a smooth line once again.
